Q- What are your opening times?

Lostock opening times:

Tuesdays 6:15pm - 7:30pm
Wednesday 10:30am - 2:30pm
Friday 10:30am - 2:30pm

Winsford opening times:

Furniture outlet:

Monday - Friday 9am - 4:30pm

Grocery

Tuesdays 10:00am - 12:00pm

Q- Do i have to be a member to shop?

Yes. At The Very Green Grocery, we have a membership system in place so we can better serve our community and monitor community need. Memberships are free to sign up, and once you are a member, you can enjoy shopping with us once a week!

Q- How do i become a member?

Becoming a member is quick and easy! Simply visit our shop during opening hours, and our friendly staff will be delighted to assist you with the registration process.

We will gather a few details from you and voila - you’re officially a member! Membership is free, and you only pay for your weekly shopping. Only one person per household can sign up and you are then allowed to do one cash-only purchase per week.

You can pay by cash or card in Winsford and cash only in Northwich (though we will be able to take cards shortly).

Q- How much does it cost?

The cost of your weekly shop at The Very Green Grocery is £5. Please bring your own bags. On average you can expect to receive groceries worth anywhere from £25 - £40 depending on what we have in stock and which products you choose.

Q – I have been given a token by Mid-Cheshire Foodbank. Can I use it to pay for a shop?

Absolutely! Just bring it along with you to our shop and we will take care of it for you

Q – Do you accept food donations?

Probably but please contact us to check – for example, we can’t accept food which is past its “use by” date. If you have surplus food that you’d like to donate, we’d be incredibly grateful! Simply give us a call on 07780 482 007 to check. You can drop off your donations at either of our Very Green Grocery shops

If it a large donation and you’re located nearby, we may even be able to arrange a collection through our Northwich Warehouse team.

Q – What else can we donate to you?

We gratefully accept food donations. However, we do not accept clothing, shoes or similar items. If you wish to donate bric-a-brac or furniture, please contact Changing Lives Together. You can donate to them via their website https://www.changing-lives-together.org.uk/donations or alternatively you can bring this to their warehouse on the Winsford Industrial Estate on Road Two.

Q – What else can we donate to you?

Absolutely! Once you are a member of The Very Green Grocery, you’re welcome to shop at either of our shops. Your membership grants you access to both locations but please remember that you can only shop once a week so that we can make sure there is enough food for everyone.
