Every donation helps us tackle hunger and reduce food waste across Winsford and Northwich
Feed the Community
Your surplus food becomes affordable groceries for families facing food insecurity. Whether you're a business with excess stock or an individual clearing out your cupboard, every donation makes a difference.
Why food donations matter in Cheshire
At Changing Lives Together, we're tackling two of today's biggest challenges: food insecurity and environmental food waste. Through our Community Groceries in Winsford, Crewe and Northwich, your food donations create a powerful solution that benefits both communities and the environment.
Fighting Food Insecurity:
-
Support local families struggling with rising food costs and food poverty
-
Create affordable grocery options for those experiencing food insecurity
-
Build community resilience through accessible food redistribution networks
-
Provide dignified shopping experiences that preserve choice and dignity
Protecting Our Environment:
-
Divert surplus food from landfill - preventing methane emissions and waste
-
Reduce carbon footprint of food production by maximizing food usage
-
Support circular economy principles through food redistribution
-
Combat food waste that contributes to climate change
Did you know? Food waste accounts for 8-10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. When perfectly good food goes to landfill, it produces methane (a greenhouse gas 25 times more potent than CO2).
By donating surplus food, you're not just feeding families - you're actively fighting climate change.
