What We Do
We are here to help
We are part of the Community RePaint network to collect reusable, leftover paint and re-distribute it to individuals, families, communities and charities in need, improving the wellbeing of people and the appearance of places across the UK.
We have a range of paint for sale in each of our shops.
Our volunteers help those who are over 50 and experiencing loneliness and / or social isolation, perhaps as a result of bereavement or the coronavirus crisis.
We try and help some of the more vulnerable members of our community. Our befrienders contact their buddy with a visit, telephone call or on-line chat once or twice a week. We want to stop feelings of loneliness. Volunteers can also assist with shopping and medication collection etc. if that suits everyone.
To help tackle food poverty we operate the Cheshire Food Hub wholesale operations, in partnership with FareShare, the Welcome Network and Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester councils.
Please note we are not a food bank.
No one should go hungry. If you need emergency help, please contact the Trussell Trust or free call 0808 2082138.
We are proud to support Cheshire West and Chester Council with their community transport needs. This includes school, day care and adult social care transportation for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Dial a Ride door-to-door minibus services for residents of Northwich and Winsford unable to use public transport.
Rural Rider door-to-door minibus services to residents of more rural areas where there is limited or non-existent public transport.
Volunteer Car Schemes to provide lifts to registered users across Cheshire West and Chester.
We can undertake the relevant Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks for you. So you can make more informed, safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable adults and children.
We operate contracts with Local Authorities and Housing Associations to provide their welfare assistance schemes.
These schemes ensure those in need gain access to essential household items and receive an efficient delivery and installation process.
We are proud to have a long tradition of offering volunteer, work experience and training placements.
We work with job centres, the unemployed, housing associations and employment agencies to make effective work plans and meaningful experiences.
Many of our permanent team started as volunteers within the organisation - for some the first time that they entered the world of work.
Recycling of WEEE is now a specialist part of the waste and recycling industry.
We are one of a handful of charitable organisations in Cheshire that are certified Approved Authorised Treatment Facilities (AATF) and Designated Collection Facilities (DCF).
